Terms of Use

By creating an account and using Orkadu, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Orkadu brings your health and performance data together — blood tests, body composition and measurements, prescriptions, supplements, workouts, nutrition and body progress — in a single view, and uses artificial intelligence to propose workouts and generate individualized insights from that data. The app also calculates estimated indicators from your own data, using a published formula (section 3). It is an information and personal tracking service, not a medical service and not a clinical relationship.

Some numbers in the app are estimates calculated from the data you record, not measurements. Fitness Age is one of them: it estimates your VO₂max with the non-exercise formula from the HUNT study (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, 4,637 participants aged 20 to 90), using age, sex, waist circumference, resting heart rate and the workouts you logged over the last 4 weeks; it then converts that VO₂max into the age at which the median Brazilian of the same sex reaches that value (Rossi Neto et al., PLoS One 2019, 18,189 directly measured tests from Fleury/São Paulo), and shows which percentile of that same group you are in.

• The calculation is a fixed, deterministic formula: the same inputs always produce the same result. No artificial intelligence takes part in it.
• The published margin of error of the model (the standard error of the estimate, from the same HUNT study) is ±5.70 ml/kg/min for men and ±5.14 for women, which is why the app shows an age RANGE, never an exact number.
• The Brazilian reference covers ages 20 to 69. Outside that band the app shows no percentile, and at the edges of the curve the result reads "24 years or younger" or "64 years or older" instead of a number invented by extrapolation.
• The indicator is NOT a diagnosis, does NOT measure your overall health, does NOT assess disease risk and does NOT predict longevity. It is a tracking number for your cardiorespiratory fitness over time.
• The calculation depends on your specific consent, is optional and can be turned off at any time in Settings. Turned off, the indicator is neither calculated nor displayed.
• If an input is missing, the app tells you what is missing instead of estimating from an assumption.
• Weight and BMI are not inputs to this formula: it uses waist circumference, the marker recommended by the literature and the fairer one for people with conditions such as lipedema.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Orkadu. We ask for your date of birth to verify this requirement and to calculate indicators that depend on age. By using the app, you declare that you have the legal age and capacity to accept these terms.

• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity in your account.
• Provide accurate information — analyses depend on the precision of the data you enter.
• Notify us immediately about any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful purposes or to enter third-party data without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass security, overload or interfere with the operation of the service.
• Treat AI outputs as a medical prescription or professional advice.

The data you enter is yours; you grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you. The brand, software and interface of Orkadu belong to Vinicius de França Alves Graciano Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda. (H.Tech Consultoria).

• New accounts get 7 days of full, free access, with no card required. After that period, use depends on an active subscription.
• The current price of each plan is always shown on the subscription screen, inside the app, before any purchase — nothing is charged unless you actively subscribe.
• The subscription is purchased and billed by Google Play. Cancellation, refunds and plan changes are handled in the store itself, under Payments and subscriptions.
• You have a right of withdrawal within 7 days of purchase (art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Code). Within that window, refunds are requested through Google Play.
• Deleting your Orkadu account does not automatically cancel the store subscription: cancel it there as well so you are not charged again.
• Orkadu never receives or stores your card data.

You can open support tickets directly in the app, under Help. To handle a ticket, your first name and contact e-mail are forwarded to the Vinicius de França Alves Graciano Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda. (H.Tech Consultoria) support desk, along with the text of the ticket.

Orkadu is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the information, estimates and suggestions are appropriate for every individual case. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vinicius de França Alves Graciano Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda. (H.Tech Consultoria) is not liable for decisions made based on information from the app without proper professional guidance.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or the law.

We may update these terms. Relevant changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after an update indicates agreement.
